Indian Hindu Leader Claims Vision of Taking Over Afghanistan, Makkah
NEW DELHI (AP)— An Indian Hindu religious leader has stirred controversy after declaring that the vision of Hindurashtra — a Hindu nation — extends beyond India’s borders, claiming it includes Afghanistan and the Islamic holy city of Makkah.
“Hindurashtra is a great dream — the dream of Veer Savarkar, the dream of Shivaji,” the leader said during a recent address. “This dream should not only be about Afghanistan. We will not only take Afghanistan, but we will also take Makkah, where the Ganges of Mahdism will flow like the waters of Zamzam.”
He called for a global stand against Islam and Jihad, stating, “If you do not defeat Islam, then no force on this earth will be able to weaken Islam. You must give victory to the Mahdists of Makkah.”
He added, “You will go to the place where the cancer (war) spreads. And as long as I am alive, I will carve a path with my life, like Pandit Ji.”
The identity of the speaker and the date of the remarks have not been independently verified.
