Pakistan: Recent Attack in Kashmir Is Result of Public Protests, Pakistan Has No Involvement
Pakistan’s Defense Minister, Khawaja Asif in his recent remarks responded to the attack on tourists in the Jammu and Kashmir region, describing it as the outcome of public protests and uprisings.
He emphasized that these actions are the result of oppression and injustices carried out by the Indian government against the people of Kashmir, and stated that Pakistan has no connection to the incident, rejecting all Indian claims in this regard.
He further added that Pakistan has never supported terrorism or violent actions, and deemed India’s repeated accusations about Pakistan’s links to the armed actions of the Kashmiri people as baseless and incorrect.
He described such allegations as India’s attempt to divert attention from the main regional issues and its internal crises.
These statements come at a time when tensions between India and Pakistan remain high over the Kashmir issue.
Both countries have consistently accused each other of interfering in internal affairs, and diplomatic and military tensions between them have escalated.
Meanwhile, the recent attack by armed gunmen on tourists resulted in 26 deaths and 17 injuries.
