High Level Delegations From Pakistan and Uzbekistan Arrive in Kabul for Talks and Railway Agreement
Tawazon – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban announced that senior delegations from Uzbekistan and Pakistan are expected to visit Kabul today (Thursday, July 17) to participate in a series of bilateral and trilateral meetings aimed at strengthening regional cooperation.
According to Zia Ahmad Takal, spokesperson for the Ministry, the delegations also included Uzbekistan’s Minister of Transport and Pakistan’s Minister for Railways.
The high-level delegations are set to take part in a trilateral political consultation hosted by the Taliban’s acting Foreign Minister. The meeting will focus on strengthening political understanding, enhancing dialogue, and exploring fundamental solutions to shared regional challenges between Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan.
Following the consultations, the three countries will formally sign a Framework Agreement on the Feasibility Study for the Trans-Afghan Railway Project during a ceremony at Presidential Palace.
The agreement, seen as a key regional connectivity initiative, will be signed by the Taliban’s Minister of Public Works, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Transport, and Pakistan’s Minister for Railways.
