Sources: Pakistani Militias Shell Civilian Homes in Khost
Tawazon – Local sources from Afghanistan’s Khost province report that Pakistani militias have fired rockets at civilian homes in the area.
The sources said that the clashes occurred early Wednesday morning, October 22, between Taliban forces and Pakistani militias.
According to the sources, the fighting lasted for about an hour and caused heavy financial losses to local residents. They added that Pakistani militias were reportedly preparing to launch an attack when they were fired upon by Taliban forces, triggering the clashes.
According to the reports, the Pakistani side targeted civilian homes with rocket fire. So far, no exact figures havebeen released regarding casualties from last fighting, but there are claims that a local journalist was killed.
Sources say the situation along th Durand Line remains critical and many residents have fled their homes.
It is worth noting that fighting is still ongoing along the Durand Line in the provinces of Paktika and Kandahar.
