Mujahid: Pakistani Airstrikes in Southeast Afghanistan Kill at Least 10
Tawazon – Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid says Pakistani forces carried out another attacks in Afghanistan’s southeastern provinces, killing at least ten civilians, most of them children.
In a statement posted on X, Mujahid said that around midnight, Pakistani forces bombed the home of a civilian, Waliat Khan, son of Qazi Mir in the Mughalgai area of Gorbuz district, Khost province. According to him, the strike killed nine children (five boys and four girls) and one woman, and completely destroyed the family’s house.
Mujahid added that separate airstrikes were also conducted in Kunar and Paktika provinces, injuring four civilians. He noted that two additional homes were damaged in those attacks, but no further casualties were reported.
These incidents come amid escalating tensions between the Taliban authorities and Pakistan. Islamabad has repeatedly accused the Taliban of allowing militant groups to operate from Afghan soil, a claim the Taliban consistently reject.
