Guterres: Last 11 Years Were the Hottest on Record
Tawazon – António Guterres, UN Secretary-General has warned that the past eleven years have been the hottest years ever recorded, marking a clear sign of accelerating climate change.
In a post on X on Friday June 5, Guterres said that even small increase in global temperature are causing significant damage, with the worst effects falling on the most vulnerable communities.
He added that warning signs of climate change are now visible everywhere, and the world is facing serious environmental challenges.
The UN chief stressed that it is time to take urgent action to protect the environment and secure the future of coming generations.
