India Beat Pakistan by Five Wickets to Win Asia Cup 2025 Final
India defeated Pakistan by five wickets in the Asia Cup 2025 final held in Dubai on September 28. Chasing a target of 147, India reached 150/5 in 19.4 overs, with Tilak Varma scoring an unbeaten 69. Pakistan had earlier posted 146 all out in 19.1 overs, collapsing from 113/1.
Pakistan’s innings began strongly, with Sahibzada Farhan (57) and Fakhar Zaman (46) adding 84 runs for the first wicket. However, India’s bowlers, led by Kuldeep Yadav’s 4/30, along with Varun Chakravarthy, Axar Patel, and Jasprit Bumrah, restricted Pakistan to 146. Pakistan lost nine wickets for just 33 runs in the final 5.1 overs.
In India’s chase, early wickets fell, reducing the team to 20/3. Tilak Varma’s 69 and a crucial 50-run partnership with Shivam Dube (33) steadied the innings. Despite tight bowling from Pakistan, India secured victory with two balls to spare, clinching their ninth Asia Cup title.
