Iran–U.S. Negotiations; Focus of Talks Between Iranian and Swiss Foreign Ministers
The Swiss Foreign Minister expressed in a phone call with his Iranian counterpart, satisfaction with the progress of the indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States and announced his country’s readiness to provide any assistance in this regard.
Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, had a phone conversation with Ignazio Cassis, the Swiss Foreign Minister, on Sunday evening, during which they discussed bilateral relations and various international issues.
Araghchi, while appreciating Switzerland’s valuable role in the nuclear negotiations, briefed his Swiss counterpart on the developments related to the ongoing indirect talks between Iran and the U.S.
The Swiss Foreign Minister, expressing satisfaction with the negotiation process, reiterated his country’s readiness to assist in any way.
The first step of negotiations between Iran and the U.S. was held in Oman, the second in Rome, the capital of Italy, and the third is scheduled to be held again in Oman.
