Baghlan residents reel from loss of lives, property after flash floods
The heavy death toll and loss of property continue to hurt residents of Baghlan province days after the devastating flash floods.
Following heavy rains and devastating floods in the villages of Yahor, Jarab, and Jiryan Bish in Guzargahi Nur district, Baghlan province, more than 1,000 livestock have also perished, leading to illnesses among children due to the stench of the carcasses.
Azizullah, a resident of Guzargahi Nur district, expressed to Tawazon the dire situation, stating that women and children have sought refuge in mountain caves due to limited shelter space.
Residents of Guzargahi Nur district lamented the inadequacy of medical aid, emphasizing the need for government intervention to address their plight.
Furthermore, they highlighted the urgency of reopening transportation routes, as all roads in the district remain impassable.
Appealing to the Taliban authorities, the residents of Guzargahi Nur district urged prompt action in facilitating the reopening of transportation routes.
