UNICEF: Child-Friendly Spaces Provide a Safe Place for Play and Learning
Tawazon – The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has said that child-friendly spaces provide a safe environment for children to play, learn and speak with counselors.
In a post released on X on Tuesday, May 26, UNICEF said these spaces help improve children’s well-being.
The UN children’s agency also shared several photos of children playing with toys and participating in activities.
UNICEF added that, with support from the Asian Development Bank, child-friendly spaces across Afghanistan are providing children with exactly that kind of safety and support.
Children in Afghanistan continue to face numerous challenges and hardships, including poverty, lack of access to education, violence caused by war, and the absence of suitable recreational spaces.
