Pakistan Accelerates Deportation of Undocumented Afghan Nationals and ACC Holders
The process of deporting undocumented Afghan nationals and Afghan Citizen Card (ACC) holders from Pakistan continues at a rapid pace, according to Pakistani authorities.
On April 21 alone, 3,956 Afghan nationals were repatriated from various parts of the country. Citing official data, Pakistan’s Samaa news outlet reported that a total of 983,442 Afghan migrants have been deported since the expiry of the government’s deadline for voluntary repatriation.
Following the end of the deadline, Pakistani authorities have intensified efforts to remove those who remain. Officials say the process is being conducted in an orderly manner and emphasize that deportations are being carried out with respect and dignity.
Authorities have also claimed that strict measures are in place to prevent any mistreatment of Afghan nationals during the deportation process.
