Iranian President pronounced dead in helicopter crash
Iranian media reported the devastating news of a fatal helicopter crash, claiming the lives of President Seyed Ibrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, and Tabriz Friday’s prayers Imam Ayatollah Al-Hashim, along with others.
Mehr News Agency conveyed the tragic incident on Monday, May 20, revealing that the president’s helicopter collided with a mountain.
Efforts to identify the victims’ remains have commenced, as reported by Tasnim news agency, though no signs of life have been detected among the helicopter’s crew, indicating a fatal outcome.
While Iranian authorities have yet to officially confirm the deaths, the helicopter disappeared in a mountainous region of East Azerbaijan province around 3:30 p.m., underscoring the severity of the situation.
