Pezeshkian: Iran Ready for Any Cooperation with Earthquake Victims in Eastern Afghanistan
Tawazon – Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran, while expressing condolences over the casualties of the recent earthquake in Afghanistan’s eastern provinces, said that Iran is ready to provide any kind of relief assistance and humanitarian aid to the affected areas.
Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, also expressed sympathy with the victims of the recent earthquake in Nangarhar and Kunar provinces and added that Iran fully stands ready to assist those affected.
This comes as the earthquake, which struck eastern Afghanistan on Sunday night, claimed the lives of more than 1,200 people and left around 3,000 others injured.
