Afghanistan U-19 National Cricket Team Defeats Nepal
Kabul – The Afghanistan Under-19 national cricket team delivered a commanding performance in their opening match.
In the first match of the three-game One Day series held in Kathmandu, the Afghanistan U-19 cricket team defeated Nepal U-19 by a massive margin of 130 runs.
Winning the toss, Afghanistan opted to bat first, leading the team to a total of 300 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 50 overs.
In response, Nepal struggled to chase the target and were bowled out for just 170 runs in the 46th over, securing victory for Afghanistan.
Afghanistan’s bowling attack was led by Zaitullah Shaheen, Mahboob Khan, and Wahidullah Zadran, each claiming two wickets, while Abdul Aziz Khan, Nazifullah Amiri, and Nasratullah Nooristani each took one wicket.
The remaining two matches of the series are scheduled for April 6 and April 9.
