Ahmad Al-Sharaa: Certain Groups Pushing Syria Toward Civil War
The President of Syria’s Interim Government, Ahmad Al-Sharaa said that certain groups are attempting to push the country into a civil war.
In an official statement, Al-Sharaa asserted that no domestic or foreign force will be allowed to create chaos or incite civil war in Syria.
His remarks come as forces loyal to former President Bashar Al-Assad have taken up arms against the Interim Government’s forces, resulting in the deaths of more than a thousand people.
Syrian security officials have accused Lebanese Hezbollah, Iran, and several other countries of supporting and strengthening opposition groups to destabilize Syria and escalate the conflict into a civil war.
The Syrian Interim President has called for the unconditional surrender of opposition fighters and vowed to take strict action against those responsible for the killing of civilians.
Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz, referring to the recent clashes involving forces led by Muhammad Al-Sharaa in Syria, labeled Al-Jolani (Muhammad Al-Sharaa) a “terrorist from a jihadist Al-Qaeda school , accusing him of committing crimes against civilians.
Following the fall of the Bashar Al-Assad regime, Israeli forces entered Syrian territory and took positions in the Golan Heights, a region Israel refers to as a “buffer zone.”
Ahmad Al-Sharaa, formerly known as Abu Muhammad Al-Jolani, was the leader of the armed groups that overthrew the Bashar Al-Assad regime before taking charge of Syria’s Interim Government.
